La Trobe University’s main campus is in Bundoora, Melbourne, on a 400- hectare parkland site which includes a wildlife sanctuary. The campus also includes an extensive Research and Development Park, a hospital with student medical services and many recreational facilities. Its library is one of the leading university libraries in Australia, providing comprehensive services and support for teaching and learning, research and scholarship across all La Trobe campuses.

The University has five faculties – Education, Health Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Law and Management, and Science, Technology and Engineering. Its substantial commitment to regional Victorian communities is reflected in the educational programs at its Albury-Wodonga, Beechworth, Bendigo, Mildura, Mount Buller and Shepparton campuses. There is also a campus in inner Melbourne.

La Trobe University supports and promotes teaching excellence. Graduates consistently rate the quality of teaching in the University highly in annual, independent surveys.
